Birthday @ anawangin 2010

Woke up friday-my birthday.. after doing some stuff, start to prepare my things, gusto ko umuwi ng maaga sa amin to rest before going to zambales.. by 10am problem occur in the office and i have to stay until 3pm.. leave laguna by 5pm, by 630pm i arrived at buendia, i need to go to cartimar to buy dogfood for amy.. by 8pm, im home at last..

i never gave notice to my family that i will be going home that night, therefore, no ulam for me waiting.. haayyzzz.. tired and hungry, i ask kyle my pamangkin to accompany me at the tapsilugan managed by my cousin sa kanto, and there i celebrate may *bleep birthday! eating porksilog and siomai with coke zero, while kyle was enjoying his tapsilog.. LOL

after we eat we passby to my other relatives and they greet me all, and asked to celebrate my birthday on the spot.. patak patak wala sa budget e.. LOL
we drank absolut currant vodka, and for some-beer.. our celeb end up 130am, i have to leave 3am.

thank god that my things are all packed up. i took a shower and rest for a while, set my clock at 330am.. until one of my friend texted that woke me up.. at 4am, i met my friend who has a pick up truck that will deliver us to the venue, bayad nalang sa gas.. (never mind his agenda there hehe)..

we had fun during our travel. puro kulitan at bawal matulog or else, aasarin kalang.. we took SCTEX route.. sarap ng byahe.. walang trapik, we reached subic by 730am, we head towards san antonio then to public market where we park, as usual market muna..

but before that we ate our breakfast, pansit luglog for me, sopas and bihon to others.. then we bought food we are going to bring in anawangin, for lunch-adobong pusit, for dinner-sinigang na talakitok, for breakfast-longganisa and egg, for early lunch-pritong tilapia.

our contact arrived in just a while after we parked in brgy. pundaquit, all are set na.. we bid our friend goodbye and thanked him for delivering us safely.. as i stepped into the beach.. saw familiar scenery and feel old feelings.. : P

all five of us wen to the beach, and rode the boat to anawangin for about 30mins travel.. depende sa alon.. : D .. and we are lucky na kalmado ang dagat that time..

and as our boat turned left to head towards the alcove.. we all feel happy and excited seeing the familiar beautiful scenery.. HERE WE ARE AGAIN.. THERE THEY WERE STILL..

cant describe the feeling that you want to laugh and jump that we are back on our favorite place, pero syempre you will not do that at baka di kami patuluyin.. hehe.. our boatman was the son of the caretaker in anawangin, therefore we got the best location and table in there..

after eating our lunch.. we all took a nap, wala kase kaming tulog lahat.. and as soon as we got back our wit.. simulan na ang celebration hehe.. we had fun, puro kalokohan, puro kantyawan, mga gaguhan hehe.. until naubos na namin ang 1L..

the liquor and heat of the sun, made us run towards the beach.. at dun tinuloy ang kulitan and inuman.. when the sun was starting to fall, we head back to our hut, i fell asleep and geng.. soaked and drunk..

they woke me up 7pm to eat our dinner, para mawala narin ang tama, sinigang na talakitok.. i sat and fix myself, change my wet clothes with dry one and start to eat.. kaya lang, i dont feel like eating.. i feel like throwing up.. instead, i prepare the ground sheet and sleep..

in the middle of the night i was awaken by my stomach grumbling, i need to throw up.. and run towards the beach.. i puked 3 times that night before my stomach get calmed. my friend woke me up 6am, he bought me coffee and i ate my dinner/bfast-sinigang.. finally im ok, mula sa gabing sinusumpa mo ang alak.. LOL

cool wind and fresh air.. my friend are starting to wake up.. nag luto na ng scrambled egg sandwich, then fry the tilapia and longanisa.. after eating, we walk around, visit the beautiful spot/scenery in there..

surprisingly.. all part ng anawangin ay ginawan ng resort, they build hut and table and chairs, there is two stores in the area.. whats good though is.. luminis ang lugar. nawala ang mga madawag na damo and dead leaves.. wala din tubig sa batis.. el nino is coming..

feel hot from our walk, we took a bath, our last bath, that after that we are going back home na.. we fix our selves and things by 2pm, we left again.. anawangin.. huhuhu..

rode a tricycle and bus to olongapo where we eat our merienda at kfc.. its already 5pm, we head towards victory liner after eating.. at timing.. pagsakay namin, the bus left olongapo.. we arrived at monumento 8pm and i arrived at home hungry again.. 9pm : )

been a long and tiring and super happy return of the day for me.. and i thank to all my friends who joined us, their effort contributed to make things happen..

Mash Men family and friends

bumili kami ng isang buong mahi mahi, pang ihaw at sigang, assorted na isdang sariwa, from red snapper to talakitok and sapsap.. saka yellow fin tuna, pang kilaw..

http://www.assurecontrols.com/info-dinoflagellates.htm

Alcohol protects heart

Alcohol 'protects men's hearts'

alcohol
Wine, beer, vodka - the type of drink did not appear to change the results
Drinking alcohol every day cuts the risk of heart disease in men by more than a third, a major study suggests.
The Spanish research involving more than 15,500 men and 26,000 women found large quantities of alcohol could be even more beneficial for men.
Female drinkers did not benefit to the same extent, the study in Heart found.
Experts are critical, warning heavy drinking can increase the risk of other diseases, with alcohol responsible for 1.8 million deaths globally per year.
The study was conducted in Spain, a country with relatively high rates of alcohol consumption and low rates of coronary heart disease.
The research involved men and women aged between 29 and 69, who were asked to document their lifetime drinking habits and followed for 10 years.
Crucially the research team claim to have eliminated the "sick abstainers" risk by differentiating between those who had never drunk and those whom ill-health had forced to quit. This has been used in the past to explain fewer heart-related deaths among drinkers on the basis that those who are unhealthy to start with are less likely to drink.
Good cholesterol
The researchers from centres across Spain placed the participants into six categories - from never having drunk to drinking more than 90g of alcohol each day. This would be the equivalent of consuming about eight bottles of wine a week, or 28 pints of lager.
People should not be encouraged to drink more as a result of this research
Professor Martin McKee
London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine
For those drinking little - less than a shot of vodka a day for instance - the risk was reduced by 35%. And for those who drank anything from three shots to more than 11 shots each day, the risk worked out an average of 50% less.
The same benefits were not seen in women, who suffer fewer heart problems than men to start with. Researchers speculated this difference could be down to the fact that women process alcohol differently, and that female hormones protect against the disease in younger age groups.
The type of alcohol drunk did not seem to make a difference, but protection was greater for those drinking moderate to high amounts of varied drinks.
The exact mechanisms are as yet unclear, but it is known that alcohol helps to raise high-density lipoproteins, sometimes known as good cholesterol, which helps stop so-called bad cholesterol from building up in the arteries.
'Binge-drinking'
UK experts said the findings should be treated with caution because they do not take into account ill-health from a range of other diseases caused by excess drinking.
"Whilst moderate alcohol intake can lower the risk of having a heart attack, coronary heart disease is just one type of heart disease. Cardiomyopathy, a disease of the heart muscle, is associated with high alcohol intake and can lead to a poor quality of life and premature death," said the British Heart Foundation's senior cardiac nurse, Cathy Ross.
"The heart is just one of many organs in the body. While alcohol could offer limited protection to one organ, abuse of it can damage the heart and other organs such as the liver, pancreas and brain."
The Stroke Association meanwhile noted that overall, evidence indicated that people who regularly consumed a large amount of alcohol had a three-fold increased risk of stroke.
"Six units within six hours is considered 'binge-drinking' and anyone indulging in regular 'binge-drinking' increases their risk of stroke greatly," said research officer Joanne Murphy.
Public health specialists warned no-one should be encouraged to drink more as a result of this study.
"The relationship between alcohol and heart disease remains controversial," said Professor Martin McKee of the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
"While there is good evidence that moderate consumption is protective in people who are at substantial risk of heart disease - which excludes most people under the age of 40 - we also know that most people underestimate how much they drink. This paper adds to the existing literature but should not be considered as definitive. "
In the UK, the recommendation is no more than two to three units of alcohol a day for women - the equivalent of one standard glass of wine - and three to four units for men.

Fish oil for kidney problem

ScienceDaily (May 1, 2007) — Fish oil, it's been touted as an answer to Alzheimers, arthritis and even weight-loss but now a Queensland University of Technology researcher will test its health benefits in people with chronic kidney disease.
Dietitian Rachel Zabel, from QUT's Institute of Health and Biomedical Innovation, will investigate the effects of fish oil on patients with kidney disease undergoing dialysis.
Ms Zabel said daily doses of fish oil in the form of a tablet or liquid had been shown to decrease inflammation - a common problem in people with kidney disease.
"Research shows that patients with kidney disease on dialysis experience a range of complications thought to relate to chronic inflammation," she said. "They can have poor nutritional status, disturbed appetite and a lower quality of life."
Ms Zabel said fish oils had known anti-inflammatory properties due to their high concentration of Eicosapentaenoic Acid (EPA).
"EPA has been used successfully in other population groups with chronic inflammation including people with osteoarthritis and cancer cachexia, however the anti-inflammatory effects have not yet been applied to patients on dialysis," she said.
As part of Ms Zabel's study, participants will be given a daily dose of fish oil, and tests will be conducted to measure changes in inflammation and appetite. The 12-week study will seek to determine the success of fish oil as a treatment option for inflammation in people with chronic kidney disease.
Ms Zabel said, with one in three people in Australia at risk of developing chronic kidney disease, improving the quality of life for sufferers was essential. "The incidence of chronic kidney disease is increasing," she said.
"One in seven people over the age of 25 have at least one clinical sign of chronic kidney disease and every day five Australians commence dialysis or transplantation to stay alive. "While fish oil won't cure kidney disease, it may provide a better quality of life for sufferers."
The study is being conducted in collaboration with the Wesley Hospital.

Tribute to a good couple

BAYAN KO

Ang bayan kong Pilipinas
Lupain ng ginto't bulaklak
Pag-ibig ang sa kanyang palad
Nag-alay ng ganda't dilag

At sa kanyang yumi at ganda
Dayuhan ay nahalina
Bayan ko, binihag ka
Nasadlak sa dusa

Ibon mang may layang lumipad
Kulungin mo at umiiyak
Bayan pa kayang sakdal dilag
Ang di magnasang makaalpas

Pilipinas kong minumutya
Pugad ng luha ko't dalita
Aking adhika
Makita kang sakdal laya..

J't aime
